VBS transcribers are volunteers certified by the Library of Congress. Materials transcribed include, but are not limited to: textbooks, manuals, leisure reading, cookbooks, knitting and crochet books, menus, personal and institutional requests. A professional format advisor is on staff to assist our braillists when necessary. (Transcriptions are formatted according to "Braille Formats, Principles of Print to Braille Transcription, l997," and the "Nemeth Braille Code for Mathematics and Science Notation"). Tactile drawings are created by transcribers trained in that field. Call for fees.
